Partners at the development table
Thoben, together with Moore MKW’s colleague Maurice Schulte, Moore MKW Audit Partner, explains they have found Caseware to be a party which will cooperate with Moore MKW on the development of audit applications, now and in the future. “Moore MKW will take a seat at the development table at Caseware International. Thus, we can be close to the (development) activities and have the possibility to address the details adequately and concretely.”
Concrete successes
Available in Dutch
The first actual success from the partnership with Caseware is that the Audit+ application is now available in Dutch. Schulte: “ This was an important requirement for Moore MKW when, in principle, Caseware Cloud turned out to be only available in English. Caseware’s translation decision proved to be correct as several parties have, in the meantime, indicated there was a need for a Dutch version. Of course, this was also Moore MKW and Caseware’s intention: continuing together and strengthening each other.”
Group audits
Another important development the expansion with group audits, planned to be released in 2025. “This is crucial for our complex engagements and will be integrated in the cloud platform. That is the next step in which we will fill in the details, starting from the design phase, together with Caseware” according to Thoben.
Data-analysis and AI
The Caseware platform also has data analysis and AI possibilities. Thoben: “This year we will focus on the implementation of data analysis and AI in the cloud platform in terms of content, but the possibilities are already there in the background. They only need to be refined. Caseware is prepared to invest in and contribute to ideas for future needs together with Moore MKW. That is a nice perspective.”
International recognition and local implementation
The choice to work with Caseware has also been recognised internationally. The Moore Global network has also chosen to explicitly work with Caseware which has a very good global reputation. This will also stimulate international group audits within the Moore Global network, over time, and generate efficiency advantages” explains Schulte.
Education and support
Schulte: “In addition, Caseware will facilitate us with an extensive educational programme via the Caseware Academy. This platform offers videos and instructions to Moore MKW’s 140 audit employees for both the current implementation phase and for future updates and developments.”
Authority
The partnership with Caseware will position Moore MKW as an authority in the market whereby we will be each other’s partners in the development of audit software. Thoben’s conclusion: “We have a strong position in which we do not only benefit from the innovations but also contribute towards the development. This partnership is a strategic move to strengthen our abilities and market position.

With this collaboration, Moore MKW will be the first medium sized audit and advisory firm in the Netherlands which will be using the Audit+ software on the Caseware cloud platform.
